I recently read a collection of ghost stories by Joseph Sheridan LeFanu called The Purcell Papers. The stories were eerie and atmospheric, drawing me in with their mysterious plots and vivid descriptions. LeFanu has a talent for creating a sense of unease that lingers long after the stories end. Each tale was unique and engaging, with unexpected twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat.
