Reviewer: Mixkino - August 16, 2018 Subject: Test, just a test Love, Mercy, the Infinite. Leo Tolstoy said that Victor Hugo's Les Miserables was the greatest novel ever written. It has many facets and needs to be absorbed and contemplated, not just read. |
Reviewer: Lynn Hedahl - December 7, 2017 Subject: Les Miserables I got to book 5 chapter 8, and there are no more chapters to be found. I know this is not the end. Where are they, I want to finish. Even with the mixture of readers (some bad, some good) this book has captured my interest. Someone needs to check into this. |
Reviewer: dg - May 18, 2016 This was at times very tedious to listen to and was tempted to stop a time or two. Mr. Hugo had way too many words to say at times and it took listening on purpose to keep up with the story, I did endure and was glad I did in the end. |
Reviewer: Phillip Dauben - September 25, 2014 Subject: Great Book Spent 2 hours a day, 5 days a week, for almost two months listening to all 5 volumes of Les Miserables. What a great book, but some of the history lessons were a little too long. Nice to know about Waterloo, French Revolution, French Slang Words, the Paris sewer system, etc, but way to much information. Toyed with giving it four stars, but decided against it. This is a book worth reading/listening to and I don't want to discourage anyone from doing so. |
Reviewer: Daviana - February 27, 2013 Subject: Amazing book I love this book. Les miserables is amazing book and movie. |
