Reviewer: estee - November 14, 2020 Subject: The Mayor of Casterbridge Thanks to the provider and the good Reader (Bruce Pirie). Good story.Such Mayor's character exists in our modern society. Man who could not accept his lost and envied the other who was sucessful. He struglled between his bad and good thoughts, but the bad ones that always won. He could be a good man if he wanted to. Something good happened to him but it was taken away due to his mistake. Sadly at the end he felt unwanted, outcasted and disrepectfull and died alone. Dramatic ending. |
