Der Friedhof liegt dicht neben dem Pfarrhausgarten, so daß der mächtige Birnbaum gleichermaßen die an der Mauer liegende Gräberreihe, wie auch die Gemüsebeete der Frau Pfarrer beschattet. Der Fliederstrauch, dessen Blütezeit alljährlich ein beglückendes Wunder der Schönheit ist, reckt sich mit seinen reichsten Ästen ein wenig zum Kummer des Pfarrherrn in den stillen Garten hinüber. Dafür klettert aber aus diesem breitblättriges Grün in die Höhe, und plötzlich tun sich über der Mauer die blaudunkeln Augen der Clematis auf.
