Perciò confidando pure lo scrivente di poter camminare per la stessa via sebbene con forza e lena minori, e quando fantasia lo soccorra, si accinse all'opra. Sappiamo, che dei Romanzi di sommi autori antichi d'ogni nazione, con Manzoni alla testa, si è smarrita la traccia, ma lo scrivente vi giura, e tutti lo credono, che non sogna trovarla... Questa è la quinta volta che il sottoscritto, fa stampare a breve distanza l'uno dall'altro, libricciuoli, per dimensione e valore, modesti. Un principio di monomania qualunque da potersi tollerare.
