The Haunted Hotel, A Mystery of Modern Venice |
---|
The Haunted Hotel is a thrilling and suspenseful mystery novel that kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. The story is set in Venice and follows the mysterious events that unfold at the Grand Hotel, where a young couple stays during their honeymoon.
I was immediately drawn in by the atmospheric setting of Venice and the eerie atmosphere of the hotel. The author, Wilkie Collins, does an excellent job of building tension and suspense throughout the novel, keeping the reader guessing until the very end.
The characters are well-developed and intriguing, particularly the enigmatic Countess Narona, whose motives and intentions remain shrouded in mystery. The plot is full of twists and turns, with plenty of unexpected surprises that kept me guessing until the final reveal.
Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed The Haunted Hotel and would highly recommend it to fans of mystery and suspense novels. Wilkie Collins has crafted a captivating and engaging tale that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very last page. Book Description: |
