Die heitere ist die der Wahl des Freiers zwischen drei Kästchen im »Kaufmann von Venedig«. Die schöne und kluge Porzia ist durch den Willen ihres Vaters gebunden, nur den von ihren Bewerbern zum Mann zu nehmen, der von drei ihm vorgelegten Kästchen das richtige wählt.
