Reviewer: Inter - January 29, 2021 one of the best books I have ever read. definitely worth a read |
Reviewer: Hannah - September 27, 2020 Great book, written in journal fashion. Lovely easy to understand concept that is contrary to modern ideas. The authors personal history brings another layer to the story as it is the closest shes come to an autobiography. This doesn't have to be a political attack some people feel it to be. It is simply a well written piece on an impossible situation. |
Reviewer: scott - June 20, 2018 Interesting book, decent reader, not perfect but not deserving of some of the negative comments either in my opinion. |
Reviewer: Nicholas - March 22, 2018 amateurish book, decent reader |
Reviewer: User - October 21, 2017 Worst shite imaginable. Poorly written idea-poison. |
Reviewer: deepak - August 8, 2017 Subject: psychology Good |
Reviewer: Steven Baldwin - March 16, 2017 Subject: low volume level Good book, but this recorded audio is way too quiet. |
Reviewer: Gus - February 22, 2017 awful book, hard to understand. Pointless meaning. |
Reviewer: psichick - February 21, 2017 Subject: research her admiration for serial killers It's funny how everyone who expounds the wonders of this & her other "books" tells the rest of us that we should be required to read her drivel. |
Reviewer: Gust - September 8, 2016 Subject: Poor reader Ugh. Mispronounced words, stumbling reading... poor over-dramatic style that seems, at times, to be more fitting for 3rd grade poetry contest. Book is good, reader is so bad. |
Reviewer: Tony - April 15, 2015 Subject: Anthem I started listening and was so caught up in the story that I could not turn it off. Well read. |
Reviewer: dg - March 28, 2015 This was definitely a strange book. It was rather annoying in spots and seemed a little juvenile, but probably a juvenile wouldn't know what-in-the-world was going on most of the time. Who knows, you might agree with the majority. |
Reviewer: Ben - February 11, 2015 Subject: Oh Ayn Rand Reading an Ayn Rand novel is like getting a sneak peak into the brain of a psychopath. It's interesting in a peculiar way, but if you find yourself aligning your ideals with Rand's...I feel sorry for your sanity. |
Reviewer: User - August 17, 2014 Subject: Utopia Beautifull story and narration. Though Im dissapointed that there is not an Anthem 2. And to my surprise the author is a woman. |
Reviewer: User - June 23, 2014 An incredibly prophetic novel that should be required reading in schools of countries that strive to remain free. |
Reviewer: Edward Duree - April 19, 2014 Subject: Anthem On of the most influential bools of my youth because it made me think about self ownership and its relationship to knowledge and censorship, the latter being the province of slave owners. |
Reviewer: User - March 18, 2014 Enjoy'd it. Well read. |
Reviewer: User - November 9, 2013 The author clearly lacks the intelligence required to write a novel of this sort. |
Reviewer: Anister - September 3, 2013 Subject: Anthem It's a beautiful piece of literature. However, it must be read in the historical context in which it was written. The apparent naivety of the prose works well with the characters. It has rhythm. |
Reviewer: Nathan - July 31, 2013 One of my all-time favorite books. Worth the listen. |
Reviewer: User - July 19, 2013 There were some nice ideas, but in general - the focus on egoism is dumb. |
Reviewer: Bethany - July 12, 2013 It was great! It was kind of like a mix of 1984 and Uglies. Which I loved. Books are so awesome!! |
Reviewer: Ollie - June 13, 2013 Pathetic rants! |
Reviewer: User - May 27, 2013 Subject: James What a great book. This is a look into what the future would be like if government rules us. |
Reviewer: Bruce - May 3, 2013 Classic libertarian tome.... |
Reviewer: Ava - April 19, 2013 So confusing I hated it. It's not even a real book |
Reviewer: Londell - April 10, 2013 Subject: Anthem I see this book as a warning. This could happen if we keep allowing politicians to tell us what to think. Everyone should not only read this book, but digest every page. |
Reviewer: Scott - December 20, 2012 Subject: Anthem Just plain awesome! My homeschooled children will be reading this one for sure! |
Reviewer: David - December 1, 2012 Subject: Anthem Lousy writing...characters are 2-dimensional at best. This is not literature, it is ideology. |
Reviewer: Big Bob - October 27, 2012 Subject: Anthem Ayn Writes wonderful books. Every one should read "Atles Shrugged" also and this is where America is going today. |
Reviewer: Lola - October 25, 2012 Subject: Blew my mind! Very good read/listen. It still has me thinking... I recommended this to friends and to you! |
