Nota de la present transcripció:

Aquesta traducció de Les Alegres Comares es va editar el 1909, molt abans, per tant, de l'aparició del Diccionari i Normes de Gramàtica de Pompeu Fabra, entre 1917 i 1918. Aixó fa que Josep Carner faci servir unes normes gramaticals i ortogràfiques que eren les acceptades en aquell moment, i aixís mateix han sigut respectades en aquesta transcripció.

Note for the transcription:

This edition of The Merry Wives was published in 1909, well before the Catalan Dictionary and General Grammar by Pompeu Fabra appeared in 1917 and 1918. For this reason, the translation of Josep Carner makes use of the grammatical and orthographic conventions that were generally accepted at that time, and as such have been kept untouched throughout this transcription.

AL CONFRARE EN POESIA, ADRIA GUAL, AUTOR ACTOR, COM EL GRAN WILL, GLOSADOR DE SHAKESPEARE A "LES ALEGRES COMEDIANTES" JOSEP CARNER.
